Please read this policy before using the Service. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are+
Nail Budapest Map operates the Nail Budapest Map website and mobile application (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal data when you use the Service.
This policy applies to customers, salon owners, salon staff, and visitors using the Service in the European Economic Area, including Hungary, and elsewhere where the Service is available.
2. Data we collect+
We collect only the data needed to provide the features you choose to use. This may include:
- Account data, such as your name, email address, profile photo, account identifier, and sign-in provider when you sign in with email, Google, or Apple.
- Booking data, such as your name, phone number, email address, selected salon, service, staff preference, appointment date and time, price information, booking status, and notes you submit.
- Salon and business data submitted by owners or staff, including salon profile details, services, prices, opening hours, staff details, business contact information, and images uploaded to the Service.
- Messages, reviews, reports, support requests, and files or images you choose to send through the Service.
- Location data only when you allow location access in your browser or device. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time in your device or browser settings.
- Technical and usage data, such as device and browser information, app events, IP-derived security information, cookies or local storage, and diagnostic data used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
3. How we use data+
- Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and maintain sessions.
- Process booking requests, notify customers and salons, manage appointments, and provide customer support.
- Publish and manage salon listings, services, reviews, and content that users or salon representatives submit for public display.
- Send service emails and, where enabled and permitted, booking or account notifications.
- Measure service performance, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve reliability and features.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. When we share data+
We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for cross-app or cross-site targeted advertising.
- With the salon you select or contact, so it can respond to or fulfil your booking request. The salon is independently responsible for its own handling of booking data after receiving it.
- With service providers that help us operate the Service, including authentication, database, storage, push-notification, hosting, security, analytics, and email-delivery providers. They may process data only to provide services to us.
- With Google Calendar only when an authorized salon owner or staff member actively connects a Google Calendar for appointment syncing. The optional integration uses the Google Calendar events scope only for booking-related calendar events.
- With authorities or other parties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
5. Apple and Google sign-in+
If you choose Sign in with Apple or Google, the relevant provider authenticates you and sends the account information that you authorize. Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your personal email address. We use this information to create or access your Nail Budapest Map account and do not receive your Apple or Google password.
6. Google Calendar connection+
Google Calendar access is optional and is available only to authorized salon owners or staff who choose to connect a calendar. We request the Google Calendar events scope needed to create, update, and delete appointment events. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, or Photos for this feature.
Calendar connection details and tokens are stored server-side with access controls. You can disconnect the calendar through the applicable salon settings or contact us for help. Disconnecting stops future synchronization and removes the stored connection record and refresh token, subject to limited legal or security retention requirements.
7. Data retention and security+
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to operate the Service, resolve disputes, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. The retention period can vary depending on the type of data and the feature used.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including access controls and encrypted transmission where supported. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please keep your account credentials secure and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
8. Your privacy choices and rights+
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to the processing of your personal data, as well as data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
You can update certain account details in the Service, manage device permissions in your settings, and request account deletion through the link below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request and may retain limited information where legally required.
9. Children and international processing+
The Service is not directed to children under the age at which they can lawfully consent to data processing in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate authorization, please contact us.
Our service providers may process data in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Changes and contact+
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service or applicable law changes. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, email support@nailbudapestmap.com or use our contact page. If you are in the European Economic Area, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
